Members include early-intervention specialists, early childhood special education teachers, program directors and service coordinators working in schools, Head Start/PreK programs, regional early-childhood centers and government-funded EI/ECSE agencies supporting children birth through age 8 at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. Many work in public school districts, university research centers, community early-childhood agencies or nonprofit family-support programs. Division for Early Childhood (DEC) is a professional association for early intervention and early childhood special‐education professionals working with children birth through age 8 who have or are at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. Founded in 1973, it serves an international membership—estimated at around 2,800 individuals including practitioners, researchers, and families. With a dedicated, engaged audience of specialists in early childhood disability services, DEC offers advertisers and sponsors access to a niche community with high professional alignment, advocacy interest, and purchasing potential for relevant products and services.
